*Note: This honors the collective emotional marathon of the pandemic in addition to the importance of our own essential personal pivots.

Pivot’s Message:

Changing your mind is not failure. 

Changing your mind can be the revolution.

Changing your mind says,  

“I’m not going to waste any more time running in the wrong direction.”

In terms of 2020, maybe we were all just changing our mind.

Maybe we did this at the energetic, collective level and then got the very strange memo.

Maybe we lost something and tried to find it. 

Perhaps we tried to find it so we can blend it into who we’d become next.

In the beginning, it was as if the pandemic said,

“Hello, these are all of your responsibilities. Handle them. No, you do not all have the same ones. Be prepared to change. A lot. Try not to kill anybody. Try not to die. I have no more information for you.”

And we all did the best we could with that very difficult assignment.

We were shown the power of stillness and what it looks like to care or not care about humanity at large.

We saw the power of a collective pivot turn and leaned into our own personal ones.

And we took our seats in a very global classroom and sat down in our life’s very personal curriculum.

Speaking of classrooms…Didn’t plan on homeschooling your children? 

Neither did I.

But, what if we both needed to learn something and this was the only way to get the lesson?

I do believe we passed.

Some of us even got gold stars.

And what if this unconventional education creates the most incredible, compassionate soul-centered leaders of tomorrow we’ve ever seen?

Wouldn’t that be wonderful?

Didn’t plan on being called to action immediately?

But did not ignore the tap on the shoulder from The Universe that said, 

“You’re Up. Right Now.”

Thank you for listening. Thank you for acting.

We are so grateful for your service then and now.

They say sacrifice is giving up something that matters to you in exchange for what matters more.

Maybe we were all getting very clear on what mattered more. And perhaps this shared sacrifice by the

collective can bring us back to life, in ways we didn’t expect.

At least that’s the higher ground we’ve all been called to.

Yet, some people did not hear the phone.

Or maybe they did hear the phone, but they didn’t pick up because they could not engage in the awfulness of that present time reality.

So they made up imaginary ones and talked for hours.

For everyone who did engage in this collective call to health and healing in that time period of

reckoning with all sorts of awful realities, thank you.

Thank you for doing all you could to keep yourself and others safe.

Thank you for allowing yourselves to uncomfortably evolve in ways you did not expect.

It came to me recently that some of us who answered the call had already been through our own personal pandemics, perhaps several of them, prior to the arrival of the collective one.

So, when the collective pandemic arrived, yes it was all shades of awful and uncomfortable.

Yet, it was not unfamiliar.

Because many of us already had a resilient survivor secured within our being and could operate from that internal infrastructure of the initiated. So, when tapped on the shoulder to rise up in whatever public or private service we were invited to, we arrived on time at our station.

Yes, you did. Yes, we did. Well done. This Soul Success Medal is for you.

As for the others…the phone is still ringing.

Please answer the call and participate.

Changing your mind is not failure.

Changing your mind can be the revolution.

They say it’s darkest before the dawn and I am not sugarcoating the darkness. It was very dark and we are still recovering.

But I also believe in the dawn.

I also believe the light will come and in many ways, it already has.

We’ve begun to see the light emerging and our eyes welcome the adjustment.

Maybe we lost something and have found it. 

Let’s use our hard-earned findings and blend them into the goodness of who we are next.
